Designing Sex

2016 Design Residency |

Monday 21 November, 7 – 8.30 pm

DESIGNING SEX

Designing Sex was a conversation on how photography, fashion design, genetics, public policy, consumer psychology, plastic surgery, artificial intelligence and synthetic biology merge to form new approaches of design for the human body.

The conversation came at a moment in which designers were, and still are, confronted by new roles emerging from digitalisation / globalisation and require cross-disciplinary and trans-disciplinary thinking to find solutions to design challenges not seen before.

The conversation was curated by Fashion Space Gallery Design Resident Adam Peacock and co-chaired by Digital Anthropology Lab Director Lynne Murray.
