20 September, 1-4pm
Part of Open House London, this afternoon’s activities will explore cross-disciplinary production and how creative practices such as architecture, fashion and design cross, merge and divide, constantly challenging our understanding of them. Explore an installation by MA Fashion Futures student Hannah Gower whose work explores the three dimensional space clothing occupies, working from deconstructing and hanging pieces. Join a small printing workshop led by illustrator Mireille Fauchon, where you can merge architectural plans and dress patterns to create your own radical design pattern to take home and at 2pm Cher Potter, LCF/V&A MUSEUM Senior Research Fellow will host a panel discussion about cross-disciplinary production on the new Studio Weave rooftop. Panel members include Kevin Green, architect/Sculptor – ADA Projects/ Store, Mariana Pestana and Xavier Llarch-Font, architects The Decorators; Jerome Flinders, artist/architect, Timothy Ivison, artist and writer and Simon Bowden, architect Simon Bowden Architecture and Design.
Event is free, book your place here.
