Adam Peacock

Adam Peacock was selected as the 2016 Fashion Space Gallery Design Resident following his graduation from the Royal College of Art. His residency investigated the history and future of pattern-cutting — exploring how traditional craft knowledge intersects with contemporary digital fabrication techniques.

Working in the gallery's studio space and in dialogue with the gallery's exhibition programme, Peacock developed a body of work that brought together hand-cut patterns and digitally-generated forms, questioning the boundaries between craft and technology.

The outcomes of his residency were presented in a public event that brought together practitioners working across fashion, design and digital fabrication.
